Chuckie, Dirty South, Afrojack announce US Residency! DirtyDutch Split and MTV thoughts...

Dirty Dutch's DJ Chuckie, Dirty South, and the EC Twins ALL will have US residency at the Las Vegas club Marquee.

In addition, Afrojack (who I believe has SEPERATED from Dirty Dutch) also announced residency in vegas at Surrender. Info for both can be found at the links below.

Furthermore, the Afrojack show at Pacha NY was covered by MTV news, the article for which can be found here.

Getting back to my comment about Afrojack, neither he nor Sidney Samson are currently listed on the Dirty Dutch website which they used to be. Additionally, with the exception of Moombah which Afrojack remixed, I don't believe he actually played any tracks which Chuckie, who is still most definitely a part of (and the leader of) Dirty Dutch in his most recent show at Pacha. Afrojack has even gone as far as publicly saying "This isn't Dirty Dutch music, this is Afrojack music". Furthermore, the MTV article above makes no mention of Afrojack being a part of the Dirty Dutch crew.

While I have not been able to find any offical news about the situation, I think it can be surmised that Afrojack and Samson have both actually split from Dirty Dutch. What does this mean? I'm not quite sure. Could mean any number of things. Personality clashes, contractual disagreements, who knows. All I know is they all keep spitting out awesome tracks and remixes so I guess it's working in our favor.

Also another topic for everyone, especially Americans and New Yorkers, to take a minute and think about is the increasingly LARGE and STEADY amount of coverage MTV has been giving our industry. No longer do they only care about Ultra Fest, Coachella, and Electric Dasiy Carnival - MTV has been covering shows, collaborations, and track releases from OUR world on a consistent basis in recent months - just start Googleing and see what I mean. Another sign guys: we are most certainly living the revolution. Hell, the WALL STREET JOURNAL even covered the Guetta show a few weeks back. This added to the fact that both new and old DJs across all boarders of electronic music are attaining residency in NYC, Vegas, and Miami are all pointing toward the concept the our music is finally reaching the to the absolutle forefront of all music. Flashback a year and people would have never guessed this happening. Flashback two years and people would have bet their lives against it. What a pivotal time for EDM in our country.
