Electric Zoo Festival: Officially 3 days!
WOW what a day for EDM. Aside from all of the news posted today about UMF 2011, Made Events has officially announced Electric Zoo Festival will be 3 days to take up the entire Labor Day Weekend. View the article here. Tickets start at $129.00 for a three day pass and ARE ALREADY ON SALE! I think it was very smart of them to make the 3rd day Friday as opposed to Monday because the majority of Americans will have off Monday, so it gives festival-goers a day to recoup. As if Electric Zoo wasn't the biggest thing in house music to already hit NYC, the fact that it is now one of the WORLD's only 3-day festivals is a true testament that house music lives in NYC and is a growing force throughout the rest of our country!

Now that EZoo is three days long it no longer seems to be the bastard child of EDM festivals. EZoo is no doubt now officially a big deal and I'm excited to see who they are going to have lined up and what other fun surprises they will have prepared for festival goers.
ReplyDeleteAdditionally, I really hope that Made Events devises another system for tickets/admission this time around. Now that EZoo is going to be three days long, wearing the same wrist band for three days and it remaining intact would be something short of a miracle. It would seem that having one ticket for the entire weekend as opposed to individual ones is either a means to save money (printing tickets), a ploy to prevent the sale/resale of individual tickets or a scam to make extra money off people who lose their tickets and/or damage their wrist band.
